Peace Child ambassadors
In January 2008 seven Peace Child ambassadors visited Year 6 in St.Wulstan’s RC Primary School in Stourport-on-Severn and spent a whole afternoon raising awareness of the importance of recycling, energy saving and fair trade. The afternoon consisted of an interactive workshop and discussions. Each child made a number of personal pledges and a follow-up visit will be made to monitor the childrens’ commitment to their pledges. Evaluations of this event have been carried out by the pupils, by the class teacher and by the peace child ambassadors themselves. Evaluations have been very positive but the peace child ambassadors will be making some adjustments to their programme for the next roadshow, which will be at Our Lady and St.Kenelm’s. The Peace Child ambassadors were Hannah Kinney, Ailsa Suleman, Rob Nicholls, James Guy, Serena Ramnial, April Diviney and Jennie Owen. See picture gallery.
